The truth be told the Big Bulls were very lucky to be only be 8-0 down, after 15 minutes. The slow start may have been down to 7 weeks of not playing because of the weather, some normal 1st team players making themselves not available, or the long drive and the cold weather. It may have been the memory that last time they played de Wrotters they beat them 60-0, what ever it was they need to improve greatly and get back into the game. Thankfully, after 20 minutes the Big Bulls started to take control of the game back, and score two good tries and a penalty before half time to take the lead 13-8 into half time.
The Big Bulls control the second half and scored another three tries, in the process collecting the all important bonus point. Apart from one very poor laps in concentation in defence, which lead to de Wrotter scoring a try they should have never been anywhere close to scoring it was a good half of rugby.
It was good to see some of the Big Bulls young and newer players coming into the 1st team from the 2nd team and performing at a high level, and as if they played in the 1st team every week. This shows the strength and depth the Big Bulls now have and looks like the future of the club is very bright.
